Book Vending Machine - Roadrunner Elementary - grant proposal written - hoping to start with a $1,000 donation with matching funds…must get Rotary district approval…could be a process…
Mark announced that our Rotary Club is a Proud Member of the Marana Chamber of Commerce - we have a decal to display!!

● Mark: Successful start to the school year; power outage on day one meant all hands on deck for early dismissal…all went well - Proud to be in MUSD!
● Mike: Great family trip up to Mt Lemmon with 30-year-old daughter. Played board games and enjoyed the slow-paced restaurant :)
● John: Glad to be out of the miserable humidity in Illinois and back to the wonderful heat here in Arizona!

Tour de Treat/Cookie
● Plan to host on Halloween, October 31 - Saturday - as a 2nd fundraiser ● Bob brought up the idea of hosting it as another Tour de Cookie - this way, no new materials would need to be made…Tour de Cookie II ????
● Survey the previous cookie booth volunteers FIRST - Gregg has the email lists and can generate this survey
● There are 1500 participants in the database… contact them next…
● Any issues with the date? Laura will meet with the Town of Marana on Friday
Membership Recruitment
● Mark suggested hosting a “wine and dine” event in September to attract prospective members to our Rotary Club! Need to have a confirmed date and details for the October Tour deTreat/Cookie event.
New Website
● Gregg gave the group an update about Zephy, a new website to use; much better functionality; easier to do mass emails

Gregg led us in the 4 Way Test, and the meeting convened at 8:00 am.
