We gathered to celebrate the Marana Career and Technical (MCaT) Star Student of the Quarter, Angel Madrid. Angel’s educational journey began at Estes Elementary, continued through Marana Middle School and Marana High School, and ultimately led him to MCaT. He is grateful to the staff and teachers who welcomed him and supported his success.
Angel appreciates the small class sizes at MCaT, which helped him catch up academically and put him on track for early graduation. Through class presentations and leadership opportunities, he has overcome shyness and gained confidence in himself and his abilities.
Angel shares a warm, supportive relationship with his father and younger brother. His father has offered pearls of wisdom that Angel has taken to heart and that continue to guide him.
Angel plans to graduate in March and pursue further education at Pima Community College, with an interest in a construction-related field or HVAC.
After the celebration, many of us spent the next couple of hours volunteering in the Marana Food Bank bagging dog food, potatoes and extra snack packs.
