Club members were thrilled to return to our meeting home at the NW Fire District Training Center.

BACK HOME!
After seven months or so, the ground settling problems at the Northwest Fire Training facility were addressed and we were allowed to return to the physical location at 5125 W Camino de Fuego. What an appropriate street name! Bob Bishop being our only virtual attendee and he will soon be back in town!
As usual, the meeting started 15 minutes late due to IT problems. Remember the lone, virtual attendee? Well, there was no audio from Mr. Bishop and that was not acceptable. Once that problem was fixed we were off to the races with Pledge of Allegiance and:

Harald- Got out an old winter jacket he had not worn for quite a while. We are enduring an AZ cold snap. Below 32 degrees. Que calor, no?
Laura-Hates the cold and had to cover her plants. Later she walked this back a bit, but there is a reason she lives in AZ. She draws a line at 32 degrees.
Dan-Happy to be back together again in person.
Don-Likes the cooler weather (I wonder where the surname Jorgensen comes from) and the fact that his commute to weekly meetings has been cut in half with our return to Camino de Fuego. (I like the street name)
Kathy- Her new dog, regular readers might remember Kathy is "temporarily" dog sitting for a disabled Golder Retriever who has knee problems but not the feared hip dysplasia. In spite of ample shedding of hair, canine not Kathy, she is hopeful her dog will truly be her dog in the next few weeks.
Christine- Something about wonderful middle school age kids and verifying CPR classes for our club. Actual certification will require a mannequin and, on the floor, exercise. She delicately indicated getting to the floor would not be a problem but getting back up might be a challenge. (Why was she looking at moi?)
Mark-Happy about somebody's kids
John- Did not write it down and do not remember
Cindy-Two and possibly more outbound Rotary Exchange students. Infrequent readers should know Cindy heads the District5500 Exchange Student program
Bob-Forty degrees in VA and getting colder. Completed right eye cataract surgery and left eye scheduled next week so will miss the meeting. Wife's daughter's baby is a joy.
Andrea-Feels like home her at dear old Camino de Fuego.
Andrea briefly mentioned the catastrophic California fires and that an organized response from District5500 is forthcoming. She then announced we will have hybrid meetings for the first three Tuesday's every month and a virtual business meeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month. March 15th is Marana Founder's Day and we , as a club, will want to participate.
Meeting concluded with discussion of Tour de Cookie. We will have 11 or twelve booths and want/need more sponsors. The ride will be between Top Golf and Saunders Road. Still deciding where rider "loot" to be picked up. Shirts, cookie logo pins and backpacks need to be ordered. On a side not this writer found a hundred or so cookie pins in our cabinet following today's meeting. Harald says we have collected over $10,000 already.
