As has been our custom for many years, club members met at Lil' Abner Steakhouse for the passing of the gavel. In attendance were outgoing President Andrea de la Cruz, incoming President Cindy Dooling, Harold Burtzloff, Beckie Penman, Don and Kathy Jorgensen, Peter Mack, Dan Contorno, Laura Clymer, and John Dooling.

Prior to the searing in we learned Dan is headed to Mexico for a fly fishing trip early tomorrow morning and both of our club couples, the Jorgensen's and the Dooling's, are going to the international Rotary Conference in Canada and both will take the Scenic Canadian Rocky Train ride out of Vancouver as part of the trip. Some of the chit chat also included updates on the several quail and dove nests in and around members' homes as well as discussion of the Pacer's last second win over the Thunder.

Andrea then reflected on her past year and tears of emotion flowed. Peter offered congratulations on a very successful year and applause indicated agreement by those in attendance. After the swearing ceremony both past and future Presidents were presented with flower bouquets, gifts and cards of appreciation. Cindy also passed out the new for 2025/2026 Rotary pins.

It seemed no one was in a hurry to leave, other than Dan on his fishing trip, and the remaining remembers remained and talked on a myriad of subjects including the use of AI in various professions and who is watching what on Netflix, Britbox, and Apple. The last of the members to leave were out the door by 8:45pm.
