Location: NWFD Training Facility-Not ZOOM Broadcast Due to Training Nature of Todays Meeting
Speaker: None
Attendees: John Dooling, Don and Cathy Jorgensen, Harold Burtzloff, Christine Leonard, Bob Bishop, Beckie Penman, Dan Contorno, Mark Goligoski, Peter Mack and others.
Standing in for President Andrea, who was on a trip to Chili, was John Dooling. We began, as always with the Pledge of Allegiance. Discussion revolved our recent Tour de Cookie which from all measurements appears to have been a substantial success. Final tallies of expenses and revenue are not complete, but it appears we will net significantly more than last year which was a record itself. Members spoke of ways to raise the number of riders from current 500 to six or seven hundred and even holding the event twice a year. It was recommended a meeting be set aside to delve deeper into the possibility of these recommendations.

Christine Leonard, member of our Rotary Club and employee of NWFD controlled the final 45 minutes of our meeting as the instructor of AREST Immediate Rescuer training program. All who completed the online certification and today's training will receive a CPR card meant for digital use, however, it
can be printed if you wish.
Adult mannequins with blinking instructional lights as well as smaller baby mannequins were used during the instruction. We learned thirty chest depressions to every two breaths for children was the guide. Breaths could/should cover nose and mouth on smaller child. For adults, breaths are no longer recommended. Chest depressions of two a second or, to the beat of Staying Alive, are the standard.
Cardiac arrest is not the same as heart attack. If individual is not conscious and not breathing call or have some call 911 and begin rescue process immediately.

Meeting concluded with Four Way Test.
