- Beckie-Birds decided that the wreath on daughter's front door was a good place for nesting. To protect the nest Beckie's daughter wrapped the area with yellow caution tape. As a result, she was, in good faith, swatted by her neighbor!
- Andrea-Enjoyed May 10th, Mother's Day, with her mom. Passed on a "Hello!" from Christine.
Guest Speaker:
Angelica "Angel" Pilato, Lt. Col. USAF (Ret) Ph.D. Spoke on The War That Never Ended.
Angel served during the Vietnam War at a time where the US military dropped tens of thousands of bombs in Laos in an attempt to block shipments to the North Viet Cong along the Ho Chi Minh Trail. As a result, today, over fifty years later, the unexploded ordinance "UXO" is a significant problem for the use of this land. She has spent years in an attempt to rectify the problem. The cost to clear a football size piece of land is $2,000.
