This meeting was the Club's monthly Club Business Meeting. During this meeting, members engaged in Happy Bucks and also discussed current club business related items.

Happy Bucks:
  • Harold – Still working on resolving dryer issues. Got the dryer working but now he is having issues with the vent. Hoping to resolve it by June.  
  • Bob – Has been enjoying light rain and has taken his boat for several fishing outings already.
  • Kathy – Visited to the ostrich farm off I-10 over the weekend and got to feed different animals. After ten years, cleaned out her freezer with Don’s help. Took over four hours to clean.  
  • Don – Shared that he spoke to Randy Brooks and him and Deb are doing well. Randy mentioned that one of their club fundraisers charges $40 to put up flags during Memorial Weekend. They put up 400 flags.
  • Mark – Finished off a great school year last week on Thursday, May 22. Two high school graduations on the same day at the TCC. This year was the first time at the TCC.
  • Laura – Tied together members' stories with a reflection on a brunch at Café A la Carte over the weekend where she saw Salpointe also had their graduation at the TCC. Shared memories of visiting relatives in Michigan over the summer when she was a child. The summer visits included fishing, gardening, picking fresh vegetables and putting all the meats and fish in a huge freezer.
  • Andrea – Enjoyed a restful and relaxing long weekend.  
Announcements:
  • Installation scheduled for Friday, June 6th at 6:00pm at Lil Abner’s
  • Bruce Monro District Governor Installation is Saturday, June 7th at 11:30am at the Arizona Sands Club. Registration is still open for anyone interested in attending.
  • Peacebuilder Committee – Seeking volunteers. Two members required to retain club's designation. Andrea will email the club. Laura volunteered as backup.
  • District Training Assembly – Saturday, July 19 from 8:00am to 2:00pm at Northminster Presbyterian Church at 2450 E. Ft Lowell.
  • District Conference scheduled for September 26 to 27 at Tubac Golf Resort & Spa. Keynote speaker will be president of Shelter Box.
Additional Discussion:
  • Harold noted bylaws need to be updated on the website; Andrea will handle.
  • Mark will bring printed membership cards to the next meeting.
  • Brief discussion on potential new members expressing interest in the club.
