At its club business meeting, members reviewed the final draft our strategic plan.
Meeting Minutes for August 27, 2024 Marana Rotary Meeting
President Andrea called our online meeting to order. After the Pledge of Allegiance, Andrea shared some important announcements:
- District 5500’s Peacebuilder Club Meeting will be August 29 at 6 p.m. via Zoom. Mark G volunteered to attend the meeting to represent our club. Thank you, Mark!
- Our next meeting, September 3, will feature MUSD Superintendent Dan Streeter, who will give us an all-important update on the Marana school district as it heads in to the 2024-25 school year. Please make every effort to attend in person if you are in town for the meeting.
- Our September 17 meeting will be at MCAT, in-person only meeting, to celebrate our first MCAT Star Student of the Quarter.
Happy Bucks
- Cindy announced our RYE student made it to Japan for her year abroad and received an overwhelmingly warm welcome.
- Beckie is due for a hip replacement … soon she’ll be the Bionic Woman.
- John, after achieving new “heights” on the scale, started “Diet of Hope” and has already lost 17 pounds! Way to go, John!
- …. (Frozen computer … Argh!)
- Andrea is looking forward to a three-day weekend and an upcoming Phoenix-area conference.
Review of Strategic Plan
Andrea presented us with the final draft of our Strategic Plan in a snazzy format. The club reviewed the format and complimented Andrea’s use of colors, graphics, and layout. Andrea does need photos from us that we can use in the document. Please send those to her.
Everyone in attendance approved the document. Going forward, Andrea announced, that those members in charge of our “pillars” will be asked to provide a progress update on the goals listed for each pillar.
We ended the meeting with the Four-Way Test and adjourned at 7:57 a.m.
